Paris is divided into 20 arrondissements + neighborhoods within each. The right neighborhood makes your trip 10x better. Here’s the breakdown.

1st-4th arrondissements, Best for first-time visitors

Why: Louvre + Notre-Dame + Tuileries + Marais all walkable. Hotels: Hotel des Grands Boulevards, Hôtel Costes, Le Pavillon de la Reine. Best for: 1st visit, walking-focused trips. Budget: $$$ to $$$$.

Marais (3rd-4th) — Best for cool, history, food
