Editorial Policy
Packzup’s commitment: Honest, accurate, locally-grounded travel content. Every article meets the standards below before publication.
Editorial Independence
Packzup writers and editors operate independently of commercial partnerships. We do not:
- Accept payment to alter recommendations
- Allow advertisers to influence editorial content
- Remove honest negative reviews
- Bury affiliate disclosures
Sourcing Standards
- Primary sourcing required: Every destination article includes either first-person visits or interviews with people who have been there recently.
- 3+ source minimum: Factual claims (prices, visa rules, hours) verified against at least 3 sources including 1 official.
- Recency: Article facts are checked against sources updated within the past 12 months.
- Cite official sources for visa requirements, vaccinations, currency rules.
Fact-Checking Process
Every Packzup article undergoes:
- Self-review by the writer before submission
- Editor fact-check independent of the writer
- Cross-reference of key claims against primary sources
- Annual review (or after major changes — visa rules, prices)
If we publish an error, we correct it openly with a note dated the correction.
Bylines and Author Accountability
Every article has a credited author. Author pages list:
- Background and qualifications
- Topic specializations
- Countries visited (relevant to coverage)

- Sponsored articles are clearly labeled with “Sponsored” or “Partner Content.”
- Sponsored content meets the same accuracy standards as editorial content.
- Sponsors do not see content before publication.
- We reserve the right to decline any sponsorship that conflicts with our standards.
Complimentary Stays & Experiences

- It is disclosed in the article (typically a “Disclosure” note at the top or bottom).
- The complimentary nature does NOT influence our review.
- We’ve turned down or returned items that came with implicit expectations.
Corrections Policy
If we make a factual error, we will:

- Add a correction note explaining what was changed and when
- For major errors: issue a separate correction on social media or in our newsletter
