Corrections Policy

Travel information goes out of date, and we get things wrong like everyone else. This is exactly what happens when you tell us.

How to report a correction

Email editorial@packzup.com with Correction in the subject line. The more of this you can include, the faster it is fixed:

  • The URL of the page.
  • What is wrong, and what it should say.
  • A source, if you have one — an official page, an operator’s site, or simply “I was there last month and it has closed”.

What we do with it

  1. We read every report. There is no support queue and no autoresponder; the same people who write the guides read the corrections.
  2. We check it against a primary source wherever one exists — the operator, the official portal, the transport company.
  3. We fix the page directly. Corrections are made in the article itself, not buried in a footnote at the bottom.
  4. We reply to you to say what changed, or why we did not change it.

What counts as a correction

  • Factual errors — a wrong price, a wrong opening time, a misstated visa rule.
  • Information that has since changed — a closed restaurant, a discontinued route, a superseded requirement.
  • Broken or misdirected links, wrong images, broken tools or data.
  • Anything that reads as editorial but is actually commercial. That is a serious error and we treat it as one.

Disagreement with a verdict is not a correction — but we still want to hear it, and we do change our minds when the argument is good.

Significant corrections

Where a correction materially changes the advice on a page — not a typo, but something that could have altered a reader’s decision — we note the change on the page itself rather than editing silently.

Why this page exists

A publication that cannot be corrected cannot be trusted. Publishing the route in makes it possible to hold us to it.
