What our guidance is, what it is not, and where you must check an official source instead of trusting us.

General information, not professional advice

Packzup publishes travel journalism and planning research. It is not legal, immigration, medical, financial or insurance advice, and reading it does not create any professional relationship.

Always verify these with an official source

  • Visas and entry rules. Our visa guides explain how requirements generally work and what to expect. Requirements change without notice and vary by passport, purpose and route. Confirm with the relevant embassy, consulate or official government portal before you book.
  • Health and vaccination requirements. Check your national health authority or a travel clinic.
  • Safety and security. Check your government’s current travel advisory for the country in question.
  • Insurance cover. Read the policy wording. What is covered depends on your circumstances, not on our summary.

Prices, costs and estimates

Cost figures are researched estimates for planning, not quotations. Currency rates move, seasons change pricing, and what you pay depends on timing and booking choices. Where we publish a cost, we say what it is based on. Treat every number as a starting point.

Climate and “best time to visit” data

Our seasonal guidance is built on ERA5 reanalysis climate data, published openly on our travel datasets page. Historical averages describe the typical past; they do not forecast the weather on your dates. Check a forecast close to travel.

First-hand experience and opinion

Where we say a place is overrated, worth the queue, or better in a different month, that is a judgement by a named writer. It is honest and explained — but it is a view, and yours may differ.
