Who writes Packzup
Packzup is written by two people. Both publish under their own names, and every guide on this site carries the byline of whoever researched it. If something here is wrong, one of us fixes it.

John Morrison
Founder & Lead Travel WriterJohn is the founder and lead travel writer at Packzup. He writes most of the destination guides on the site, and most of what he publishes is a direct comparison: two places side by side, and an honest answer about which one is actually worth your week.
- Head-to-head destination comparisons
- Honest verdicts on overrated places
- Road trips out of US cities
- Weekend getaways and island picks

Drew Treasury
Contributing Travel WriterDrew is a contributing travel writer at Packzup. He works on the planning side of a trip: what a destination actually costs per day, which month is worth going in, and how those two answers turn into a workable itinerary.
- Month-by-month timing guides
- Real daily travel budgets
- Itineraries and sample plans
- Shoulder-season calls
How we work
- Every guide is built from independent research. We don’t rewrite Lonely Planet and we don’t aggregate from Reddit.
- We take no press trips and publish no sponsored content.
- Where a page carries an affiliate link, the disclosure sits on that page next to the recommendation — not buried in the footer.
- We use AI for editing, fact-checking, and compiling structured data such as weather averages, currency conversions and sunrise times. The judgements are ours.
- Datasets list the sources they were compiled from and the date each row was last checked.
Corrections
- If we are the source of something you believe is wrong, tell us before or after you publish — we will check it and fix it at source.
- Email editorial@packzup.com. Confirmed issues are corrected within one to two business days.
- See our editorial standards, ethics policy and AI policy.
