Drew Treasury
About: Senior Travel Editor at Packzup. 12+ years of travel writing across 60+ countries on six continents. Specializes in adventure travel, hidden gems, and budget-savvy globe-trotting.
Background
Drew Treasury started traveling at 19 with a one-way ticket to Bangkok and $800 in savings. That backpacking trip turned into a year on the road, a career writing about travel, and a calling that's taken him from Antarctic research stations to Sahara nomad camps.
He's a regular contributor to Condé Nast Traveler, AFAR Magazine, and Outside. His work focuses on destinations that reward effort over budget — small mountain villages, ancient pilgrimage routes, and the kinds of meals locals would never recommend to tourists.

How I Work
Every Packzup article I write involves at minimum:
- Personal first-hand visit OR multiple expert interviews
- Cross-referencing 3+ recent local sources
- Fact-checking against official government and tourism board data
- Updating annually or when significant changes occur
Editorial Standards
I never accept payments to alter recommendations. Hotels, tours, and activities are evaluated on merit. When I receive complimentary stays or experiences (which is common in travel writing), I disclose them. My honest take comes first — even when it costs partnerships.
