Bus

Extensive network but slow in traffic.

Best for: Routes not covered by Metro.

Trams

Walking

Central Rome is best walked — Colosseum to Pantheon to Trevi to Spanish Steps to Vatican is 4-5 km total.

Best for: Most central tourism.

Taxis + Bolt + Uber

White taxis. Uber + Bolt available. 4-8 EUR base.

Best for: Late-night + Vatican-to-Trastevere trips.

Vatican shuttle

Free shuttle between Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s. Just for visitors with Vatican Museum tickets.
