Getting to Jericoacoara
Jericoacoara sits on a remote stretch of Brazil’s northeast coast, and reaching it is part of the adventure. The nearest airport is in Jijoca de Jericoacoara (JJD), about 30 minutes away by 4×4 transfer over sandy roads ??? regular vehicles can’t make the final leg. Alternatively, fly into Fortaleza (FOR), roughly 300 km southeast, and take a shared van or private transfer that takes about five hours along the coast.
Several companies run daily shuttle services from Fortaleza airport directly to Jeri, departing in the morning and early afternoon.
