Most “best summer destinations” lists are vibes. This one is ranked by five years of actual climate data: we scored all 94 destinations in our open travel climate dataset (ERA5 reanalysis, 2019–2023) on June–August daytime temperatures and rainy days, and kept the top 20 — capped at two entries per country. Cool escapes and dry-season winners rank alongside classic beach heat, because a great summer trip is about reliable weather, not just hot weather.
