The weather, precisely
The number that matters most in June is not the 40°C – it is the 29°C overnight low. Dubai does not cool down at night in summer, so there is no respite window. Stepping outside at 10pm is still stepping into heat.

Heat safety, briefly
This is a genuine practical matter rather than a caution for its own sake:
- Drink far more than you think you need, and include something with salts if you are outside at all.
- The UAE midday break rule applies from mid-June to mid-September: outdoor labour is prohibited during the hottest afternoon hours. If it is unsafe for people working outdoors, treat it as unsafe for sightseeing.
- Surfaces burn. Sand, poolside tiles and metal railings get hot enough to hurt bare feet and hands.

What still works
- Waterparks. Aquaventure and Wild Wadi are the one outdoor activity that improves in June.
- Chilled hotel pools. Ask specifically – a cooled pool is the difference between refreshing and tepid when the sea is 31°C.
- Ski Dubai, and the malls generally, which in Dubai are genuine destinations rather than shops.
- Museum of the Future, the Dubai Frame, the aquarium, the Burj Khalifa decks – all indoor and all much quieter than in winter.
- Late-evening desert safaris, departing after sunset.
- Dubai Summer Surprises, the citywide retail and entertainment festival, usually starts around late June or early July and runs to the end of August.

The Islamic New Year is expected in early June 2027. Like all Hijri dates it is set by moon sighting and confirmed by the UAE cabinet shortly beforehand, so treat the exact day as provisional. It is a single-day public holiday and has far less effect on a visit than either Eid.
Prices and crowds
June begins the low season proper. Hotel rates fall well below the winter, flights soften, and the attractions that stay busy all winter are quiet. Light, loose, covering clothing; a wide hat; the strongest sunscreen you will use.
